About Kol Shimon

Kol Shimon is a community-based initiative dedicated to supporting parents of teens who face emotional, social, or mental health struggles. Our focus is on a deeply misunderstood group: bright, sensitive, and often high-functioning teens who wrestle with inner pain that isn’t always visible on the surface. These are not children with cognitive or developmental disabilities—they are often intellectually capable and even gifted, like our namesake Shimon a”h, yet struggle silently with emotional distress, isolation, or hopelessness.

Whether your child is locked in their room, dealing with bullying, anxiety, depression, or has expressed thoughts of self-harm, you are not alone.

We provide structured, therapist-guided groups that bring together parents of children with similar challenges for mutual support, education, and healing.

How It Works

Tailored Parent Circles

Small, carefully matched circles of 6–10 families (12–20 parents), grouped around shared challenges so no one feels alone or misunderstood.
Each group is created with intention, empathy, and respect for where every family is holding.

Biweekly In-Person Meetings

Every two weeks, parents meet face-to-face in a safe, grounded space.
These gatherings create real connection, trust, and relief — something that simply can’t be replicated online.

Weekly Zoom/WhatsApp Touchpoints:

Between meetings, families stay connected through weekly Zoom check-ins and WhatsApp touchpoints.
This ensures ongoing support, shared insight, and the comfort of knowing help is always close.

2-3 Therapists, One Consistent Container

Each group is supported by two / Three therapists from different therapeutic approaches, rotating over time,
alongside a steady group facilitator who holds continuity, trust, and emotional safety.

Structured & Heartfelt

Sessions blend guided conversation, shared experience, and practical education.
Parents learn how to recognize warning signs, support healing, and respond with clarity without judgment or panic.
